FreshwaterFishingAdvice.com is a website dedicated to teaching beginning and intermediate-level anglers how to catch more and larger freshwater fish.
The site owner, Eric Rybak, has been fishing since he was a kid. He also has a degree in Fisheries & Wildlife Science on top of 4 years of seasonal fisheries work experience. He is able to draw upon acquired knowledge that will enable most anglers to learn something new and put more fish in the boat. It doesn’t matter if you fish from a boat or from the bank. You can improve your knowledge and abilities with the information provided here.
Here is a quick Q&A with Eric about his site:
When was FreshwaterFishingAdvice.com started and why?
I started my website in December of 2018. The site first started as a hobby project and quickly evolved into something I grew deeply passionate about. I have enjoyed fishing my whole life and knew that I have a wealth of insights that could benefit other anglers. It had been in the back of my mind for awhile, but starting this site was what prompted me to really start sharing what I knew.
Are you an expert angler?
No way. I have a lot of fishing experience but I am no expert. I don’t fish tournaments nor have I ever gotten paid to guide anglers. I’m just an avid angler with a lot of experience and a thirst for learning more. Honestly, I don’t know a ton of information about every topic I write about but I do perform thorough research to fill in the gaps.
What is your specialty as an angler?
I have fished in just about every situation and from every platform. I love boat fishing but honestly I rarely get to do so. I do most of my fishing from the bank. That is where I am most comfortable and knowledgeable. My favorite type of fishing is ice fishing. I love ice fishing. If I could only choose one type of fishing the rest of my life, it would either be ice fishing or carp fishing from the bank.
If I’m a new angler and want to learn more about fishing, where should I go?
Please visit my site FreshwaterFishingAdvice.com and click around. I try to add new articles every week as I learn new information.
